U.S. cyclist Kristen Faulkner Surprisingly wins Gold at Women’s Road Race in Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The Olympic Games Paris 2024 women’s road cycling race was won by U.S. cyclist Kristen Faulkner, clinching the gold medal of the 158-kilometer (98.2-mile) course in 3 hours 59 minutes 23 seconds, followed by M. Vos of Netherlands with 4:00:21 and Lotte Kopecky of Belgium with 4:00:21 respectively. It was a surprising victory for Faulkner who quit her venture capitalist job in 2021 to pursue full time training. The race took place on Sunday, August 4, 2024.
